Privacy Policy

HomeShuffle is built to need as little of your personal information as possible. This page explains, in plain English, what the app collects, why, and what happens to it.

No account, no name, no email

HomeShuffle has no sign-up. When you first open the app, it creates a random, anonymous device ID on your phone. That ID is how the app knows which rooms are yours. It is not your name, phone number, Apple ID, or anything that identifies you personally, and we never link it to your identity.

What the app stores

Room photos you take or add, and the AI-generated versions of them (tidied previews and restyled "shuffles").
Home names and room notes you type in the app.
Comments that you or your friends leave on pages you share (a display name is optional).
Feedback messages you choose to send us from inside the app.

How photos are processed

To create your Glow Score, checklist, and previews, your room photos are sent securely to Google's Gemini AI service, which acts as our processing provider. Photos are used only to generate your results. We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not sell them to anyone.

How long things are kept

Your homes and photos are stored on our server (hosted in the United States) and are automatically deleted after 12 months. Deleting a home or a room in the app removes its photos from our server right away.

Share links

Worth knowing: when you tap "Share with friends," the app creates a link. Anyone who has that link can see that home's photos, previews, shopping plan, and comments — that's what makes sharing work without your friends needing the app. Share the link only with people you want to see it. You can delete any comment, or delete the home entirely, at any time.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple and managed in your Apple ID settings. We never see your payment details. Our subscription partner, RevenueCat, tells us only whether your anonymous device ID has an active subscription.

Shopping links

The "Get this look" plans include links to retailers like Amazon, Wayfair, and Target. These are affiliate links — if you buy something after tapping one, HomeShuffle may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. What you do on those retailers' sites is governed by their own privacy policies.

What we don't do

No ads, and no ad tracking.
No selling or renting your data — to anyone, ever.
No tracking you across other apps or websites.
No collecting your contacts, location, or anything else the app doesn't need.

Children

HomeShuffle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
